Indications and Usage
Indicated for lowering intraocular pressure in patients with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension.
Dosage and Administration
Instill one drop in the affected eye(s) three times daily, approximately 8 hours apart. If more than one topical ophthalmic product is used, separate instillations by at least 5 minutes.
Warnings and Precautions
- May cause fatigue and drowsiness; use caution when driving or operating machinery
- Use caution in patients with severe cardiovascular disease, cerebral or coronary insufficiency, orthostatic hypotension, depression, or Raynaud's phenomenon
- Benzalkonium chloride may be absorbed by soft contact lenses; wait 15 minutes before reinserting lenses
Contraindications
Contraindicated in neonates and infants under 2 years of age and in patients with known hypersensitivity to any component.
Adverse Reactions
Common effects (10 to 30%) include oral dryness, ocular hyperemia, burning and stinging, headache, blurred vision, foreign body sensation, and fatigue or drowsiness.
Storage and Handling
Store at 15°C to 25°C (59°F to 77°F).
