Indications and Usage

Treatment of vernal keratoconjunctivitis, vernal conjunctivitis, and vernal keratitis.

Dosage and Administration

Instill one or two drops in each eye four to six times a day at regular intervals. A symptomatic response is usually evident within days, but treatment for up to six weeks is sometimes required.

Warnings and Precautions

  • Do not wear contact lenses during treatment
  • Transient stinging or burning may occur on instillation
  • Concomitant corticosteroids may be used if needed
  • The recommended dosing frequency should be maintained for benefit

Contraindications

Contraindicated in patients hypersensitive to cromolyn sodium or any other ingredient in the preparation.

Adverse Reactions

The most frequent adverse reaction is transient ocular stinging or burning upon instillation.

Storage and Handling

Store between 15°C and 30°C (59°F to 86°F); protect from light and store in the original carton.
