Indications and Usage
Indicated for the treatment of elevated intraocular pressure in patients with ocular hypertension or open-angle glaucoma.
Dosage and Administration
Instill one drop in the affected eye(s) three times daily. If used with another topical ophthalmic drug, administer the products at least five minutes apart.
Warnings and Precautions
- As a sulfonamide, systemic absorption can cause the same adverse reactions and severe hypersensitivity, including Stevens-Johnson syndrome and toxic epidermal necrolysis; discontinue if signs of serious reaction occur
- Bacterial keratitis has been associated with contaminated multiple-dose containers
- Caution in patients with low endothelial cell counts due to risk of corneal edema
- Choroidal detachment has been reported after filtration procedures
Contraindications
Contraindicated in patients who are hypersensitive to any component of this product.
Adverse Reactions
The most common adverse reactions are ocular burning, stinging, or discomfort immediately following administration, bitter taste, superficial punctate keratitis, and ocular allergic reactions.
Storage and Handling
Store at 20°C to 25°C (68°F to 77°F). Protect from light.
