Indications and Usage
Indicated as a disclosing agent in combination with a topical ophthalmic anesthetic for ophthalmic procedures in adult and pediatric patients requiring disclosure of the ocular surface.
Dosage and Administration
Instill 1 to 2 drops topically in the eye as needed for the procedure.
Warnings and Precautions
- Prolonged use can cause corneal toxicity
- Ocular injury may occur while the eye is anesthetized; advise patients not to touch the eye for approximately 20 minutes after application
- For topical ophthalmic use only and not for injection
Contraindications
Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any component of this product.
Adverse Reactions
Reported reactions include stinging, burning, conjunctival redness, ocular hyperemia, eye irritation, blurred vision, and punctate keratitis.
Storage and Handling
Store refrigerated at 2°C to 8°C (36°F to 46°F) and protect from light; after opening, may be kept at room temperature for up to one month.
