Indications and Usage
A topical nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug indicated for the inhibition of intraoperative miosis during ocular surgery.
Dosage and Administration
Instill one drop approximately every 30 minutes beginning 2 hours before surgery, for a total of 4 drops.
Warnings and Precautions
- May increase bleeding time and cause increased bleeding of ocular tissues during surgery
- Use caution in patients with known sensitivity to aspirin or other NSAIDs due to potential cross-sensitivity
- May slow or delay wound healing
Contraindications
Contraindicated in individuals who are hypersensitive to any component of the medication.
Adverse Reactions
Transient burning and stinging on instillation. Other reactions include ocular irritation, fibrosis, hyphema, miosis, mydriasis, ocular hyperemia, and increased bleeding tendency of ocular tissues.
Storage and Handling
Store at 15°C to 25°C (59°F to 77°F).
