About the Product

Onyix is a reusable, foam free silicone sleep shield worn over the closed eyes. The shield is made from medical grade silicone in a soft, flexible, low profile design, and a fully adjustable fabric secure wrap holds it in place. Onyix is the black version, which is opaque and blocks light. The same shield is also made as Quartz, in clear. It is latex free. Each box holds one shield, the adjustable secure wrap and a microfiber storage sack that doubles as a polishing cloth.

This sits at the small end of the sleep shield category. It is built on a smaller pattern that fits smaller faces and children, and it can be too small for larger orbital sizes. Worn overnight, the cups enclose the closed eyes so that moisture, the enclosed space and body heat together work as a humidifier around the eyes. Misting the eyelids, or placing a few drops of water inside the cups before wearing, raises the humidity further. The low profile shape is compatible with almost all CPAP and BiPAP masks.

Specifications

How to Use

1. Gently clean face and eyelids to remove all dirt and makeup prior to using the mask.
2. Check the fit. It should be comfortable, not too tight and not too loose.
3. To avoid tearing the mask, adjust the strap while off the face.
4. Optional: mist eyelids and face with an unscented eyelid and facial hydrating spray, or add a few sprays of it, or a few drops of water, inside the eye cups prior to wearing.
5. Place the shield over the closed eyes and wear it overnight.

Care and Cleaning

Wash eye cups with a gentle tea tree cleanser or mild soap, and rinse with warm water before each use. Wash fabric wrap as needed. Pat dry with the enclosed microfiber bag or lay flat to dry.

Wash the fabric strap separately in cold water with mild soap, rinse, and air dry.

Warnings

Do not drive, operate machinery, or attempt to walk around while using this product.

Discontinue use if you experience any eye or skin irritations.

Storage

Keep the shield in the included microfiber sack, which is sized for travel and storage.
