About the Product

A replacement pack of Thermoeyes XL Instants for the Tranquileyes XL goggle. It contains three sets of blue Instants gel packs and three sets of white fabric pockets. Each gel pack holds sodium acetate and a built in stainless steel disc, and is self activating rather than microwaved. This pack fits the Tranquileyes XL goggle only and does not fit the standard goggle. No goggle is included.

These are the consumable inserts of a warm compress goggle system. A gel pack is activated by clicking the disc inside it, placed in a moistened fabric pocket and loaded into the goggle, giving 15 or more minutes of moist heat. After a session the pack is boiled in water to return the gel to liquid so it can be used again.

Materials

Sodium acetate The gel inside each pack. It crystallises when the internal disc is clicked, and the crystallisation releases heat.

Stainless steel disc The activator built into each gel pack. Flexing it starts the crystallisation.

Fabric pockets White cloth sleeves that hold each gel pack and are moistened before use.

How to Use

1. Hold the gel pack vertically lengthwise so the internal metal disc floats down to the narrow end.
2. Bend the steel disc back and forth to create a clicking sound, until the gel starts to crystallize and generate heat.
3. Place the gel pack inside a moistened white fabric pocket and insert it into the back of the goggle.
4. Wear for 15 minutes or as directed by your eye doctor.
5. To reuse, reset the gel pack by boiling it in water until the crystals dissolve fully.

Care and Cleaning

When boiling the gel packs, make sure they are submerged in water and not touching the sides of the pan.

Hand wash the white fabric pockets with mild soap and warm water after each use. Rinse well, squeeze out extra moisture and air dry.
