How to Use (Use Weekly):
-
Clean & Rinse:
- Before using the enzymatic cleaner, clean lenses daily with Boston® Cleaner or Boston ADVANCE® Cleaner and rinse thoroughly.
-
Prepare the Lens Case:
- Fill the lens wells completely with fresh Boston® Conditioning Solution or Boston ADVANCE® Comfort Formula Conditioning Solution. Do not reuse old solution.
-
Apply Enzymatic Cleaner:
- Detach one single-use container from the strip.
- Twist the tab off and squeeze 2 drops of Boston® One Step Liquid Enzymatic Cleaner into each lens well.
-
Soak Lenses:
- Place lenses in the solution and soak for at least 4 hours (or overnight) to ensure thorough cleaning and disinfecting.
-
Rinse & Insert Lenses:
- After soaking, rub and rinse lenses for 5 seconds with Boston® Conditioning Solution before inserting them. DO NOT RINSE WITH TAP WATER.
- Apply fresh Conditioning Solution for additional cushioning if desired.
-
Clean the Lens Case:
- Discard the used solution and clean the lens case thoroughly with fresh sterile disinfecting solution. Allow to air dry.
Ingredients & How It Works:
- Active Ingredient: Proteolytic enzyme (subtilisin) – Breaks down and removes protein deposits that can accumulate on the lens surface.
- Glycerol: Helps stabilize the enzymatic solution.
This powerful formula reduces adherence of protein buildup, improving wearing comfort and vision clarity while extending the lifespan of your RGP lenses.
Safety Precautions & Important Warnings:
- DO NOT put solution directly into your eyes. This enzymatic cleaner is an irritant and must be thoroughly rinsed off lenses before inserting them.
- If solution gets into your eyes, remove lenses immediately and rinse eyes with cool, fresh water. Seek medical attention if irritation persists.
- Do not reuse or "top off" solution. Always use fresh solution in the lens case to avoid contamination.
- Never use tap water to rinse lenses or lens cases, as it can introduce bacteria and cause severe eye infections.
- Use only with RGP lenses. Not for use with soft contact lenses.
- To avoid contamination, do not touch the dropper tip to any surface.
- Discard any remaining solution from the lens case after each use to prevent bacterial growth.
Lens Case Care & Hygiene Tips:
- Always clean your lens case with fresh sterile disinfecting solution after each use.
- Replace your lens case every three months or as directed by your eye care professional.
- Avoid air drying lens cases with residual solution inside, as this can promote microbial growth.
Potential Side Effects & What to Do If They Occur:
If you experience any of the following symptoms, remove your lenses immediately and consult your eye care professional:
- Stinging, burning, or itching (irritation)
- Excessive tearing or unusual eye secretions
- Redness, blurred vision, or light sensitivity
- Dryness or discomfort after lens insertion
If symptoms persist, discontinue use and seek medical attention, as these may indicate an infection or serious eye condition.
