Optase DryEye Kit (C) Heat Mask, Cleaning Gel, and Intense Drops

About the Product

This kit brings together three OPTASE products. The OPTASE Moist Heat Mask is a reusable microwavable cotton eye mask supplied with a protective pouch, with head straps that contain latex. The OPTASE TTO Eyelid Cleansing Gel is a rinse off gel cleanser that is preservative and alcohol free. The OPTASE Dry Eye Intense Drops are a preservative free eye lubricant with glycerin 0.2 percent as the active ingredient.

Because the kit contains an over the counter eye lubricant, the whole kit is handled as an OTC drug. The three items are used as one routine at a sink: warmth from the mask first, then the gel massaged onto the lids and lashes and rinsed off, then the drops as needed. Kit C differs from Kit A only in supplying the rinse off gel in place of the single use wipes.

What Is Included

• OPTASE TTO Eyelid Cleansing Gel A rinse off gel cleanser, preservative and alcohol free. Ingredients: Aqua (Water), PEG-40 Glyceryl Cocoate, Glycerin, Propanediol, Decyl Glucoside, Sodium Coceth Sulphate, PEG-90 Glyceryl Isostearate, Polyacrylate-33, Disodium Cocoyl Glutamate, Xylitylglucoside, Pentylene Glycol, Anhydroxylitol, Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Oil, Sodium Cocoyl Glutamate, Xylitol, Caprylyl Glycol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Laureth-2, Panthenol, Sodium Hyaluronate, Sodium Hydroxide.
• OPTASE Dry Eye Intense Drops A preservative free eye lubricant in a multidose bottle, glycerin 0.2 percent.

How to Use

1. Remove the Moist Heat Mask from its protective pouch and microwave it for 25 seconds in an 800W microwave, or 15 seconds in a 900W or higher microwave. Do not heat for longer than 30 seconds.
2. Always touch the mask with fingers first to test the temperature before applying to closed eyes.
3. Apply the heat mask to closed eyes for 10 minutes per treatment, then return it to its pouch.
4. Wash your hands thoroughly. Place the gel on clean fingertips.
5. Close your eyes and gently clean and massage the eyelids and eyelashes with the gel.
6. Gently rinse eyelids and eyelashes with warm water and towel dry the area.
7. For the drops, shake well before use. Before first use, remove the cap, hold the bottle upside down and discard one drop of product.
8. To deliver the drop, gently squeeze and release the bottle once. Put one or two drops in the affected eye(s) as needed.
9. After use, flick or shake the bottle vigorously downwards, ensuring no residual drop is left. Multiple flicks or shakes may be required before replacing the cap.
10. Do not deliver more than 25 drops per 24h period, and do not deliver more than 25 drops consecutively.

Care and Cleaning

• Clean the Moist Heat Mask immediately if exposed to food, oils, grease or other dirt.
• Wipe with a damp cloth, then let air dry for a minimum of 24 hours before next use.
• If used daily, consider replacing your Moist Heat Mask after 6 months.

Warnings

The following warnings apply to the OPTASE Dry Eye Intense Drops.

• For external use only.
• Once opened, use within 3 months and within the stated expiry date.
• Discard any unused product after 3 months.
• To avoid contamination do not touch, wipe or clean the tip of the nozzle. Replace cap tightly after using.

Do not use

• If this product changes color or becomes cloudy.
• If the bottle or the tamper evident seal is damaged.
• If you puncture, pierce or otherwise tamper with the applicator tip or bottle.
• If you are sensitive to any ingredient in this product.

When using this product

• To avoid contamination do not touch, wipe or clean the tip of the nozzle.
• Do not squeeze the bottle when removing and replacing the cap.

Stop use and ask doctor if

• You feel eye pain, changes in vision occur, continued redness or irritation of the eye occurs.
• Conditions worsen or persist for more than 72 hours.

Keep out of reach and sight of children. If swallowed get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center right away.

The following warnings apply to the OPTASE Moist Heat Mask.

• Do not overheat.
• Always touch with fingers first to test the temperature before applying to closed eyes.
• Do not use whilst sleeping.
• Do not use on sensitive skin or open wounds.
• Should not be used by those with poor circulation, a reduced ability to feel sensation related to diabetes, or recent eye surgery.
• Vision blurring after treatment should clear within a few minutes.
• The head straps in this product contain latex.

Storage

Store the Moist Heat Mask at room temperature in a clean, dry place, in the protective pouch supplied. Once the drops are opened, use within 3 months and within the stated expiry date, and discard any unused product after 3 months.

FDA classifies this device as Class I and exempt from premarket notification.
